Watercolor animation, painted by Claude.
Every frame of these is code. Claude writes it, and p5.brush turns each line into real-looking pencil, charcoal and watercolor. Then the whole picture is repainted 30 times a second. Here's everything I used, so you can make your own.
Make one in 5 minutes
You need Node 18+, ffmpeg, Google Chrome and Claude Code.
Unzip brush-pack and run npm install inside it.
Open Claude Code in the folder. It reads CLAUDE.md: the rules that make code look painted.
Paste a prompt below, or describe your scene in one sentence. Name the motion.
Watch it live with npx serve ., or film it: node render.mjs starter.html → mp4.
The six scenes and their prompts
The finished code for each one is in scenes.html. Use the prompts to make your own versions.
[Your scene in one sentence]. Watercolor and ink, 9:16, 6 seconds. Fixed-seed background, everything that moves boils on twos. Show me stills at 0, 2 and 4 seconds before rendering.
